From Horsham, take the B2237 to the A24 and follow the A24 to Beare Green. Rickwood Park is situated just off the A24 between Capel and Beare Green.

From the M25, exit at the Leatherhead junction 9 and follow the A24 towards Horsham.

Explore the fascinating history of Reigate fort, built in 1898 as part of a chain of defensive forts, at this two-day family event.

Meet costumed interpreters, explore the historic fort buildings, and learn how Reigate Hill played an important role in protecting London and the South East.

There will also be a series of talks from expert speakers covering a wide range of topics, including the historic Vickers factory at Weybridge, RAF Kenley, the story of the Kindertransport, the activities of the local Home Guard, and the role of Reigate Fort and other Victorian forts in the defence of London.

This curated evening session offers an immersive journey into the world of artisan gin production. The evening will include

  • * A welcome, complementary Silent Pool signature classic G&T, including tuition on how to make it.
  • * A guided tasting of three other Silent Pool gins including their Rare Citrus, English Garden, and Rose Expression varieties
  • * Two cocktail demonstrations using Silent Pool - the classic Martini and the English Serve
  • * Plus tutored talks on the origins of the gin, how it is made, and the botanicals we use, as well as a potted history of gin and some of the common phrases and language that owe their origins to gin..

Organised by Horsham District Council and Food Rocks Markets, the events take place every Friday night from 6pm to 8pm throughout June, July and August at the Horsham Carfax Bandstand.

The road closure will return this year through the Carfax every Friday from 5.30pm-8.30pm (until the end of August), the Carfax taxi ranks and bus stops will be temporarily relocated. Please do not bring a chair unless you have access requirements. This will help us to manage the size of the audience, keep the Carfax as safe as we can and, most importantly, continue to run these events in a safe and enjoyable manner for all.

Horsham Markets stalls and nearby shops will be open late, serving up a great mix of food and drink throughout the evenings.
